Price Increases Coming for Intuit QuickBooks Desktop Products

QuickBooks is the accounting software of choice for many business owners. Always versatile, the QuickBooks line of products offers a number of options for users to choose from. Those utilizing the following products should be aware of an upcoming increase to prices:

The Intuit and QuickBooks teams shares that the increase is needed in order to innovate and deliver products and services that provide their users with an edge both today and in the future.

QuickBooks also shares that Desktop Plus products will be sold at full MSRP and no discounts will be available. The Pro Plus/Mac Plus product will run one annual user $549 beginning in 2023.

The QuickBooks team is also issuing a warning to Microsoft users. QuickBooks Desktop user using computers running Windows 8.1 will be unable to upgrade their QB Desktop software for 2023.

Note that the QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise pricing will not see an increase.

Due to these price increases and the fact that accountants and other providers can no longer offer discounts to clients, we are recommending that Desktop users switch to QuickBooks Online. This recommendation echoes that of QuickBooks who shares this, “We are encouraging Desktop customers to switch to QuickBooks Online to discover the flexibility and collaboration that our online ecosystem can bring to you and your clients’ business. Some of these benefits include the ability to collaborate and wok at the same time, access your books on any devices, automatically categorize bank transactions and more.
